Adcock Sponsor 900 Mile Navy Charity Cycle

Thursday, May 12, 2016 | Miscellaneous

As a company that takes great pride in supporting local charities, Adcock is delighted to be sponsoring eleven keen amateur cyclists, all from the mighty 845 Naval Air Squadron, who are bravely attempting to cycle from one end of the country to the other in order to raise money for the Royal Navy and also the RNRMC (the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity), which is the principle charity of the Royal Navy.

The cyclists are setting off on Saturday 14 May from Lands End, are embarking on a 900 mile cycle to John O'Groats, which is expected to take around 9 days to complete. This is by no means an easy challenge and so we know that every little ounce of support we can offer will be of great value.

The RNRMC exists to support sailors, marines and their families for life and has the mission of “raising and delivering resources and working with others to provide the vest support to serve existing and former members of the Naval Service and their families”. Being a very worthy cause and one that is very close to our hearts, we’re extremely proud of the cyclists and their dedication to the charity and are therefore honoured to be playing our part in supporting this endurance challenge.

If you too would like to join us in showing support for this challenge, you can sponsor the team at the Virgin Money Giving link here.
