Sales Engineer

Job Role

Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning are on the lookout for a highly skilled Sales engineer with a proven track record to join their successful team in Ipswich.

  • Be actively involved in the process of business development to ensure continued and sustainable growth
  • Identify and follow up on current and prospective sales opportunities. 
  • Build and maintain a network to improve the presence and reputation of both the Branch and wider Company. 
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relations including visiting sites regularly 
  • Responsible for ensuring profitability and achieving agreed sales targets, profitability and outcomes for the Branch. 
  • Establish contact with customers, designers and contractors in order to select equipment suitable for their requirements, submit offers to trade and in the negotiation of contracts, ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service at all times. 
  • Offer design input on installation projects. 

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven sales background in refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers and / or AHU's
  • Customer relationship management experience within the industry
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of a wide range of systems.
  • High financial and commercial awareness with the ability to manage large budgets and resources.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong business relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues and contractors.
  • A thorough understanding of and ability to deliver outstanding and continuous customer service.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office 365.

We offer a competitive salary with a company car, 25 days holiday per year which increases with service and a Company Pension.  
Basic hours are 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday or as required to suit business needs.
