Sales Representative

Job Role

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Norwich Branch for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Sales Representative with a proven track record for building new business  relationships and excellent conversion of enquiries to sales rates. 

Purpose of Role :

To be responsible for the promotion and marketing of Adcock’s services to both potential and existing Customers. To establish and maintain continuous and successful business  relationships by ensuring exemplary customer service, delivered to the highest standard and integrity.  

Main Responsibilities: 

  • To be actively involved in the process of business development to ensure continued and sustainable growth for the business 
  • Responsible for achieving  agreed sales targets, profitability and outcomes for the Branch 
  • Analyse the market’s potential, track sales and produce status reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services for management 
  • Identify and follow up on current and prospective sales opportunities  including  reaching out to potential new customers through cold calling
  • Build and maintain a network to improve the presence and reputation of both  the  Branch and  wider Company
  • Establish,  develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships 
  • Undertake regular site visits  to build successful customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish successful continuous business relationships with new installation clients through the promotion of maintenance contracts and service opportunities by the branch
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Expedite the resolution of customer enquiries, problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction 
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends 
  • Continuously improve through feedback 
  • Comply with all Health,  Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. 
  • Comply with all other company policies and procedures as set out in the employee handbook or as specified
  • Perform any other reasonable duties commensurate with these responsibilities,  the band of the post and skill and qualifications of the post-holder

Candidate Requirements


  • Proven sales and customer relationship management experience  
  • Customer relationship  management experience within the construction/contracts industry 


  • Good understanding of the sales process and dynamics 
  • Understanding of and  commitment to the delivery of  excellent customer service  
  • A self- motivator with the ability to work independently and with initiative  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Understanding of and  commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service 
  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office/365 applications to intermediate level
  • Technical knowledge within the refrigeration and air conditioning field  is  desirable but not essential
