The Directors of the Company attach great importance to the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and are committed to creating an accident and incident free working environment for the well being of anyone who could be affected during the course of their works.


The Adcock Group strives to maintain the highest possible Health and Safety standards in the best interests of its workforce and customers. While some companies pay lip service to Health & Safety legislation, we not only meet legal obligations but frequently exceed the legislative requirements.

We take very seriously our responsibilities on safe working and recognise the importance of effectively managing Health & Safety in the workplace and on site.


OHSAS 18001


Adcock gained its OHSAS 18001 Accreditation through the British Assessment Bureau. The process took around 4 months to complete and required several successful audits in order to gain the qualification.

OHSAS 18001 is for all organisations large or small and covers all sectors. The standard is designed to clarify an organisation's impact on health and safety issues, as well as help to reduce the risk of accidents and any breach in legal requirements.

Occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS) promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that helps organizations to:

Identify and control health and safety risks

Reduce the potential for accidents

Aid legal compliance Improve overall performance

Under the CDM 2015 Regulations, clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way.


Therefore it is necessary to assess contractors health and safety arrangements and increasingly this is being carried out through a third party.  Please see our Accreditations page for more information.


In-House Health & Safety

Substantial investment has been made to ensure that a safe working culture is integrated into the fabric of all our working practices and it is expected that our Health and Safety Manager will continue to develop the profile of Health & Safety throughout the company.


The Group Health and Safety Policy is driven from the managing director right down to the newest recruit.


CDM Compliance

The Adcock Group routinely act as principal contractor on large construction projects in accordance with the latest Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
