Our Deputy Managing Director, Paul Brant, joined other industry professionals at the November CIBSE Roundtable event, discussing best practice in air conditioning installations.

The topics covered  a range of issues currently faced by the HVAC sector, including discussions on unskilled contractors offering poor installation services, REFCOM Elite becoming a mandatory registration,  education of consultants on high quality specifications to help raise standards in our industry.

Adcock is a  proud member of the REFCOM Elite scheme which requires that:

  • We are competent to install, commission, decommission or maintain a system containing refrigerant
  • We are a licensed waste carrier
  • We can handle refrigerants safely
  • We are  compliant with all current legal requirements
  • We operate auditable procedures for the proper control of refrigerants, and can account for all refrigerant used and recovered
  • We use appropriate, purpose-designed refrigerant recovery equipment
  • We perform refrigerant transactions with minimum emissions and are environmentally aware
  • We were granted REFCOM Elite membership after inspection by an independent third party
