We’re excited to celebrate Amy Richardson, who was recently featured in the Institute of Refrigeration's Women in RACHP industry profiles. With nearly 20 years of experience in the refrigeration and HVAC industry, Amy’s career has spanned roles from Marine Refrigeration Engineer to Project Engineer, before settling into her current role as Sales Engineer at our Norwich branch. Her work involves designing and selling air conditioning and refrigeration systems for clients in sectors including education and healthcare.
What sets Amy apart is her passion for problem-solving and diversity in her work. Whether designing energy-efficient systems or tackling complex challenges on-site, she thrives on the variety her job offers. Beyond her role, Amy is dedicated to encouraging young people, especially girls, to pursue careers in STEM. Through her involvement in the STEMazing training programme, she engages with local schools to spark interest in engineering and the opportunities it brings.
Amy’s advice to women entering the industry is simple: “Hard work, reliability, and a willingness to learn will earn respect and credibility.” We’re proud to have Amy on our team and are thrilled to see her inspiring the next generation of engineers while continuing to excel in her own career.
