Food production environments can be particularly demanding, with airborne particles and contaminants accumulating more quickly than in typical commercial buildings. During a detailed inspection, our engineer identified a significant build-up of contamination within the indoor fan assembly, affecting its balance and causing increased vibration during operation.
To resolve the issue, the system was safely isolated and the indoor unit dismantled. Key components, including the fan assembly, motor housing and drain tray, were thoroughly cleaned before being reassembled, tested and returned to service.
The before-and-after photographs highlight the extent of the contamination and the effectiveness of the remedial works. Once completed, the excessive vibration was eliminated and the unit returned to smooth, quiet operation.
This is a good example of why unusual changes in equipment performance should never be ignored. By identifying the root cause quickly, our engineer was able to restore system performance and help maintain a comfortable working environment for site personnel.
