Rapid Chiller Repair Keeps Kinnerton Production Running

Adcock recently completed an urgent refrigeration repair for long-standing customer Kinnerton Confectionery Ltd, helping the leading UK confectionery manufacturer maintain production continuity. With temperature control critical to food manufacturing, any chiller failure can risk downtime, product quality, and operational costs.

Following an emergency callout, Adcock engineers diagnosed a refrigerant leak on a Hitema water chiller. After safely recovering the refrigerant and conducting a full pressure and leak test, the team identified an irreparable leak within the lowest section of the refrigerant coil. To restore the system quickly, the damaged section was removed and the circuit shortened, enabling the chiller to be resealed, tested and returned to operation with minimal disruption.
